These problems are important since it is related to the human’s life. By providing the shortest path and control the evacuee behavior, these can lead to successfulness of evacuation. To overcome these issues, two main objectives have been carried on which is initiated by identifying the shortest path algorithm for evacuation. Then follows by design and develop an evacuation preparedness model via shortest path algorithm to choose a suitable exit route to evacuate. Three steps are involved to achieve the objectives. The first step is Building Layout Plan, followed by creating the Visibility Graph and finally implements Dijkstra Algorithm to find the shortest path. Based on the experimental study, the result shows that Dijkstra Algorithm has produced a significant route to exit the building safely. Even though there are other factors need to be considered, this preliminary result has shown a promising outcome which can be extended to improve the robustness of the algorithm. In conclusion, the obtained shortest path is believed can assist evacuee to choose a suitable exit route to evacuate safely.

Factors Influencing Failure Emergency Evacuation in Work Environments during Fire
One of the necessary measures of saving human life in emergency situations, such as fires, is the safe and swift evacuation of people. The prerequisites for this are to anticipate, identify, and eliminate factors preventing people from leaving buildings in a timely and safe manner while moving them to a safe place [1]. The occurrence of errors caused by engineering, design, human, and psycholog...

During an emergency situation inside a confined space, such as a building, decisions must be taken in a timely manner. Especially when there is an ongoing hazard spreading, the occupants must promptly find a safe path that will lead them to an exit. Simulation tools can be used to study evacuation procedures in various emergency scenarios. This thesis begins with a description of the Building E...

We use visual analytics to assist human experts in the verification of evacuation schedules and enable them to identify the bottle-necks in building evacuation. The user can change parameters, such as the number of occupants present in the rooms, the parametric settings for fire simulation, the building design, etc. and analyze their effect on evacuation. Visualization of the people flow in the...
متن کاملImproved Algorithms for the Evacuation Route Planning Problem
Emergency evacuation is the process of movement of people away from the threat or actual occurrence of hazards such as natural disasters, terrorist attacks, fires and bombs. In this paper, we focus on evacuation from a building, but the ideas can be applied to city and region evacuation. We define the problem and show how it can be modeled using graphs. The resulting optimization problem can be...

Energy efficiency and reliability are widely understood to be one of the dominant considerations for Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs). In this paper, in order to maintain energy efficiency and reliability in a UWSN, Cuckoo Optimization Algorithm (COA) is adopted that is a combination of three techniques of geo-routing, multi-path routing, and Duty-Cycle mechanism. In the proposed alg...
